Understanding CLP labelling and Responsibilities, Price: £48

Subject: Waste Management

Price: £48

This e-learning course provides an introduction to the labelling of substances and mixtures that are considered hazardous under the CLP GB Regulation. This is a complex area and the course focuses on the basics of labelling and thresholds under the CLP regulation. For those wishing more detail on the determination of hazard statement codes and classification, you can find further information within our e-learning course on wastes classification and coding. The material has been based upon the EU CLP Regulation and as of 1 January 2021 this has been replaced within England Scotland and Wales by the corresponding GB Regulation. Guidance that was formerly provided by The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is now provided by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), whilst the ECHA database has been replaced with an equivalent Mandatory Classification and Labelling List (MCL). However, all existing EU harmonised classification and labelling in force on 31 December 2020, are retained in GB as GB Mandatory Classification and Labelling (GB MCL). All other labelling elements remain the same. The FactSheet that accompanies this e-learning course identifies links to the new GB MCL which exists as an Excel Spreadsheet.

The material is presented as a narrated video file of approximately 35 mins. duration and upon completion of this material and having passed the multiple-choice test (passmark set at 60%), you will be able to download a certificate of course completion. If you do not pass the test on the first occasion then the course material remains available for you to try on multiple occasions.
