An overview of Environmental Permitting, Price: £72

Subject: Waste Management

Price: £72

Within England and Wales, the control of waste management activities is exercised through the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 and subsequent amendments.
Under these Regulations, those activities with the greatest potential to cause environmental harm are identified within Schedule 1, while those activities that are exempt from the need for a permit are identified in Schedule 3.
The Regulations also identify the powers of the regulator (The Environment Agency) in relation to matters such as the revocation and suspension of permits, as well as identifying the offences for permit breaches.
This two module training course provides an overview of the key elements of these Regulations and in so doing, helps those new to the subject area to gain an understanding of the Regulations, their use and compliance requirements.
A FactSheet provides supporting information and you will be able to test your level of understanding by doing the end of course test in which the pass mark is set at 65%. Once you have passed the test you will be able to download a course completion certificate.
